Sharon George
Sharon has been supporting families in her local area of south London, UK since 2009. Over that time she has helped thousands of parents with a range of feeding challenges, including issues such as positioning, low milk supply, combination feeding, bottles and cups, mastitis, premature babies, twins, tongue-tie etc. Families often comment on her kind, empathic style as she listens and explores the needs and feelings of new mothers. She discusses options and strategies for changing their feeding experience and offers ongoing review and support to achieve feeding goals. Many families have returned to Sharon for feeding support with their second and subsequent babies.
She first qualified as a Lactation Consultant in 2011 (IBCLC) and recertified in 2021. She also has a Diploma of Higher Education in Breastfeeding Counselling from the University of Bedfordshire (2009).
Sharon offers in-person weekday consultations at home or in hospital across London. She also offers evening and weekend appointments at her clinic in south-west London. Virtual consultations can be arranged flexibly too.
She has 3 children of her own, who have helped teach her that every child is different and that each mother-and-baby pair is unique.

Helen qualified as an IBCLC in 2009 and can make home visits to families in Balham, Clapham, Wandsworth and Between the Commons, with appointments in Dulwich and Herne Hill available by arrangement. She was accredited as a La Leche League Leader (breastfeeding counsellor and support group leader) in 2001, has led local breastfeeding mothers’ groups in Wimbledon, Clapham, and Balham, and helped to set up the Balham Breastfeeding Cafe.
Alongside more complex issues, Helen focuses on helping mothers to resolve painful breastfeeding and milk supply problems and can provide assessment and referral for tongue tie if necessary. The mother of three children, her professional work is rooted in some of the difficulties she encountered as a new mum herself.
Helen is currently doing a research degree on planning for infant feeding needs during emergencies.

Joanna qualified as a licensed NCT Breastfeeding Counsellor in 1996 and has supported families in this role for nearly 30 years. She also spent many years supporting new mothers on a busy NHS post-natal ward and ran breastfeeding support workshops for NHS staff.
In 2006, Joanna qualified as an IBCLC, and in 2009, she trained at Southampton General Hospital and became qualified to carry out infant tongue-tie assessments and divisions. She set up and ran an NHS Tongue-tie Clinic in a west London hospital and helped to set up a similar service in another London hospital.
Joanna teaches antenatal breastfeeding classes and is currently training to support parents with birth trauma. She works in South West, Central and North London.
